Reporting Incorrect Cover Images

Created by Matt Hammermeister, Modified on Wed, 31 Jan at 3:11 PM by Matt Hammermeister

The cover images that display in the Polaris PowerPAC (and Leap/Client) come through an enriched data source called Content Café.  Content Café uses the ISBN/UPC numbers located in a record to determine the cover image that should be displayed.

Occasionally, the wrong image will display next to a title.   When this happens, there are two potential options:

  • Modifying the Cataloging Data
  • Reporting the Issue to Content Café

Modifying Cataloging Data in Polaris

Content Café relies on the ISBN or UPC listed in the bibliographic record.  Verify that the standardized number is correct by checking the MARC record and editing as necessary.

Reporting the Issue to Content Cafe

If the issue appears to be a mistake in Content Cafe's database, staff can report cover image issues to coverimages@baker-taylor.com.  When reporting the issue, be sure to identify the ISBN and the title that it should be associated with.
