Each branch can customize the header that displays on all catalog pages for their branch. Banners can be set at the branch or library level, meaning libraries with multiple branches can use the same banner for all of their branches or have different ones for each.
Banner Image Requirements
The maximum width of a catalog banner is 1500px.
- There is no required height, as the banner will scale based on the size of the user's window.
- File format: .png or .jpg
Other Configuration Options
In addition to sending the image, each library can also choose certain settings:
- Alignment- Banners can be Left, Center, or Right aligned. Most libraries select Center aligned
- Return URL - The page that appears when the user clicks the header image. By default, clicking the page will return to the catalog home.
- Library Name - It is possible to have Polaris add the library's name to the banner image. However, it generally looks better to include the name as part of the image.
To request an updated banner, please submit a ticket with the image and any additional instructions.
