When leaving the Polaris client idle for several minutes, staff may be suddenly disconnected from their session and receive a message that says: "Your Remote Desktop Services session ended because the remote computer didn't receive any input from you."
This appears to stem from an intermittent bug with Server 2022 and some Windows 10/11 machines. When reported by other customers, this hasn't affected every machine and hasn't been consistently affecting the same machines.
To fix the issue, Innovative Support recommends running 2 commands from an Admin command line:
reg add "HKLM\software\policies\microsoft\windows nt\Terminal Services\Client" /v fClientDisableUDP /d 1 /t REG_DWORD REG ADD "HKey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client" /v RDGClientTransport /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
After running the two commands, restart the machine.
Innovative recommends proactively applying these changes to all machines using the staff client.
